Nana Akufo-Addo, New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer Nana Akufo-Addo has scored President John Dramani Mahama three over 10 in the fight against corruption.
“I’ll give him between two or three over 10,” the former Member of Parliament said in an interview with Fiifi Banson on Kasapa FM on his 72nd birthday, Tuesday.
According to him the erstwhile Kufour administration did tremendously well in the fight against corruption and the governance of Ghana. “Agricultural is not growing, manufacturing is in decline, our currency is weak, our economy is in serious crisis,” Nana Addo said.
He also compared Ghana’s economy to that of Ivory Coast and concluded that Ghana is far behind. “The last five to six years, Cote D’Ivoire has seen consistent rate of growth,” Nana opined.
He reiterated that the fight against corruption is “a sham” under the watch of Mahama, urging Ghanaians to vote the NPP into power to transform the country.
He said the NPP will be vigorous in the fight against the canker when he comes to power for the West African country to improve on its ranking on the Corruption Perception Index and the Afrobarometer.
